APRIL: here today...gone tommorow

Where has April gone? I am so totally in awe that it is May like . . . soon.

I have been such a bad blogger this month and it is not because I have had a lack of things to post. It has just been sososososososo BUSY!
April brought

Photo shoots for me which I LOVED!
Golf tournament for Corey
Easter
egg hunts and family dinners
Hallis birthday
Halli party
Coreys birthday
Coreys party
Disneyland
Spring break
Basketball games

and all of the church callings, school, and volunteer things that we usually do too.

(and WHERE are all the pics?. . . sorry to busy to post right now)

BECAUSE. . . . now we are off again to Utah for Coreys grandmas funeral. She will be missed, but has lived an amazing life and I am so happy that she gets to be reunited with her sweetie!

Given all the things that are going on in our personal lives and in the world around us right now with the economy and Swine flu and pirates and global warming and...well the list could go on and on. It just seems like my anxiety level has reached an all time high. I know so many feel the same way. But I am comforted by knowing that no matter what happens I am blessed. I have the gospel. Jesus is my savior, and I believe in an after life that is full of Joy! :) I also know that while our time here on earth is precious. It is but a short time compared to eternity,

"If you have not chosen the kingdom of God first, in the end it will not matter what path you have chosen instead"

I fully believe that! I have a testimony that God lives, that Jesus is our savior and died for our sins. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints is the true church on the earth today and that ALL families can be together forever through temple covenants. I am grateful for that knowledge and for the hope that it gives. Recently Coreys dad has had a stroke and now his grandma is dying, but we are strengthened and comforted and feel that God is with us. I feel the spirit all around me, sometimes I just need to take time to listen and let it into my heart.
Have a wonderful weekend and let God work miracles in your life and listen to the comforter...he is there.

Health Challenge #2

Hello! I am ready to start posting again and get back into life after vacation, spring break and Easter!

Vacations and Holidays are always the WORST when you are trying to be healthy. There are just so many good foods to eat and even worse. . . Disneyland CHURROS!!!

But to look back and reflect we did pretty good. I packed in all our lunches and snacks and water. So overall it was not too unhealthy. It is a little extra work but totally worth it.

CHECKING IN: So how are you all doing on your water intake and not drinking Soda?
I am happy to report that I have cut back WAY back to about one soda
a week on date night. I really have had people ask me what I have
been doing to look good, and I can really attribute it to the water
and no soda. Plus I have not missed it. It does not make feel as
good as I thought it did. I actually did loose about 3 pounds just
from these 2 things. I want to hear how you are doing!!

Health goal: Continue with your water.
And watch your portions.

What is a portion? it is the size of your fist when closed. If you think about chips in a portion size. Well that is it. Think about that this week as you snack and eat. I will be posting more about this in a few days.

xoxo Keri

Back from Disneyland

It is Easter weekend! We just got back from Disneyland so that means unpacking and grocery shopping and egg huntind and basket buying....

so I do not have a lot of time to post pics an tell you all the wonderful magical things about our trip! yet. but they will be here shortly.

I just wanted to write down a couple of the funny things my kids said while we were there because I do not want to forget.

Ethan:

after our first day at disneyland we were walking back to the hotel. . .
Ethan: "mom I think there are a lot of people who have not been excersizing"
ME: "why, have you seen a lot of bigger people" {me trying to be polite}
Ethan: "yeah, and fat people too!"

I just thought that was so funny, he is just honest, not so funny though when he pats my tummy and tells me he thinks I am having another baby soon because it looks like I am pregnant! sheesh not so funny then.

Halli:

So on our last night halli and I went by ourselvs to ride space mountain because I had not gone on any big kid rides yet. The wait was over an hour and it was 10:00 and I was so tired! but anyway there were a lot of teenagers in line with us. Well right in fron of us was a teenage couple probably 17-18 years old totally MAKING OUT the WHOLE time!!! it was a little awkward!

on our way out Halli said: "well at least we don't have to watch Romeo and Juliet anymore!"

seriously I just died laughing! did that just come out of my 9 year old? She has the funnest little personality. She just cracks me up!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.
