Hallis Baptism Day

What a special event this was for our family, Halli was so beautiful. It was actually kind of sereil that my first baby was 8 and getting baptized! This year so many wonderful blessings have come into our lives in a matter of 7 months. First Brodey was born and in the NICU but did fine, we had his blessing and sent steve off on his mission to Brazil on the same day, and now we had the opportunity to see our daughter get baptized. The Spirit has been so strong in our home and I feel so blessed to have so many amazing things happen in such a short time. Sometimes I feel like time is just flying by and I want to reach out and catch it. I want to remember the feelings, the looks the sounds and just hang on to them. My daughter will never be like this again and I want to cherish it. She did so great at her baptism. Halli was shining! She got a scripture bag with her very own scriptures, And a birth stone necklace that said I am a child of God. I also made her a baptism remembrance box which had all the symbols of baptism and an item to remember it by. for the baptism by immersion we had her hold a white lace handkerchief while she went under the water. Her grandma embroidered her initials and bap. date on it. We thought it would be a special keepsake for her. We had so many people come out and support her, And we feel so blessed to have such great family and friends. When we got to the church the font was not filling up because the chain was under the plug and I had to hike up my skirt and climb in the water and pull it out. I was soaking wet!
Grandma and grandpa gave the talks and Halli played "when I am Baptized" on the piano, it was perfect! she did awesome. I was so overwhelmed with the spirit and love for this choice daughter, that of course I bawled, she is growing up so fast and becoming so sweet and always wants to do what is right! We are so proud of her. Everyone came over for a BBQ afterward and Halli got so many clothes and jewelry etc... she was in fashion Diva Heaven!

SIght seeing in San Fransisco

We have lived here for 3 years and finally took the kids to San Fransisco! It was a blast. We met Coreys brother Chad and his family from Vegas there and Saw EVERYTHING! We started with a boat ride to Alcatraz where we took a tour through the jail. It was such an interesting tour! I highly recomend it! very cool, we lost Ethan for about 10 minutes while we were there. A trip would not be complete without loosing him atleast once!!. Then we ate lunch on Peir 39 at Bubba Gumps overlooking the bay. After that we took a drive to the windiest road on Lumbar street. We Drove over the golden Gate bridge and went to Stinson beach where there are great white shark advisories!! We found two whole sand dollars and saw a whale ( I for sure saw one while we were at Alcatraz. and the kids were on the look out and we are pretty sure they saw one too)
After that we went to the Ghiradeli chocolate square and ate samples. Then to a eat clam chowder out of sour dough bread bowls. We fed a few homeless people, Got scared by the bush man ( a guy who hide behind hand held bushes and scares people for tips) Saw the tin man and breakdancers...all sorts of weird people!! It was a long fun filled day! we saw everything and are glad we wont need to go back for a while. (unless any of our friends want to come out and visit!!!)

Happy Birthday Halli!!!!!

Halli, happy birthday! I can not beleive that you are 8. It seems like time has flown by so quickly and you are growing up much faster than I planned. You are such a light to our family. Your spirit is so strong and you touch and impress everyone you meet. People tell us so all the time. you are so loved by everyone and I hope you always remember that! I am so proud that you have chosen to be baptized! You have always had a strong spirit and you know so much already, you have great faith and charity. I love how the spirit of christ is in you, and with the gift of the holy ghost you will be able to do so much! I know that you have so many wonderful things to accomplish in this life and I hope I can help you get there.
Thank you so much for being such a great daughter and helping me with your brothers all the time. Thank you for always cleaning up when I ask you. Thank you for all your love and smiles and obedience. And if we ever need you to try a little harder all we have to do is ask you. Thank you for being so sweet to your friends and family. You have such a tender heart. I love that you are so confident and spunky.
Lately you have grown into this little person that makes me laugh all the time. you know how to joke around and have fun! that is so important. you love to be creative, and you are so talented. You have only been playing the piano a few months and already you are playing a song with both hands at your baptism. your dad and I are so proud to have you as a daughter. We love you so much!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY
and we hope you have a great day. Love, mom

How cool is this?
Halli, is getting baptized on the 19th, I know (sniff)! today I took her to do her pictures at the sacramento temple. It was so amazingly beautiful! She was beautiful. I can't believe my first baby is going to be eight! the pictures turned out great! but I am not going to post them yet! While were at the temple a small herd of dear were hanging out by us. they were not spooked at all and Halli actually got pretty close to them. It was so sweet! What a memory to Cherish for a life time. Of course Ethan wanted his picture done so he layed in the sun on a big star!! I love my kids so much. Today was one of those days that just makes all the craziness totally worth it. I can not wait for the next few weeks. Halli is getting baptized and our families are coming coming into town, so I am sure I will be posting away. I am so excited for this nest week. I have been so busy getting ready!

Busy, Busy, weekend!!
Wow! what a busy and super fun weekend. It started off with friday when We FINALLY painted Brodeys room and changing table. I do not have pictures yet, but they for sure will come when the project is 100% complete. that took all day and night.
Saturday was crazy, and so I TEVOd confrence (the DVR is my new best friend, how did I even live without it?) Sat. was dedicated to americas favorite passtime. Baseball....or T-ball for the little ones. first. 7:30am Parade.....

Does anyone know why we had to be there so early and not even move for 2 hours. It was FREEZINg and windy, and the parade was only around a park. the whole thing was
3 hours long. Then we went straight from that to opening cerimonies. That was pretty fun. they had jump houses and we saw our friends the Swans and did all the rides with them and the kids had a blast!

we got done with that at 12:00 and had one hour to eat before we had to be back for Ethans game. He did so well! He hit a home run from a coach pitch and ran two other player home besides himself!!! good job Ethan.

Ethan is the catcher. after Baseball I babysat my cute little nephew Tyler and had my cousin over to watch movies. That was a blast. Sunday we watched conference and it was just beautiflul! I just have to say that I fell in love with President Monson as our prophet yesterday! He was so personal and funny! I just loved how his personality came out and he seemed like he was talking to me like he was my best friend. The spirit was amazing! After conference we went to support our neighbors
Chris and Kelly (who have to be some of the COOLEST people I have ever met) in their baja racing! The kids had so much fun and the race was so cool!

I had to take a picture of this lady cause I thought it was so funny she brought her dog to the race and was holding it like a baby!!!

My Money shot of how cool the cars were when they jumped!! GO RESCUE RACING!!

Monday we planted our back flower beds.

WE have been waiting for two years to do this it looks so great!

Brodey had a blast hanging outside with us.
pheew! sorry this was so long. It's like a little journal, and we just did soooo much! Hope your weekend was great too!

Terrible 6's???

O.k. you know how they say terrible twos, I think it advances with each age for certain kids. I love Ethan sooooo much. He is such a sweetheart! His little heart is so kind, but he is always getting in trouble! The poor guy, it is really not his fault! I think he really doesn't think about the consequence to his actions. He just thinks hmmm, The baby is crying, I think I'll get him out of bed and take him in moms room...which is all great and fine. But I think Brodey is napping and I can't hear him crying on the monitor cause he is not in his room. Ethan is downstairs watching T.V., I went upstairs and Brodey is Crying halfway under my bed!! And then He was suppost to be doing his homework while I fixed dinner, And when I turned around he was gone..fine, so I went to find him and he is nowhere. Finally we found him at the NEIGHBORS house! aaaaah! Later we are driving in the car and I look back and he has his seat belt off and he is on the floor of the car, then that night the dog is barking downstairs at 3:30 in the morning so I go see what it is about and...Ethan is playing x box! All of this was in one day! Some days are better than others. He does not have an attitude or bad behavior problem, but I think he is a little ADD Like he just doesn't process it all the the way through in his head. Some times I feel like I have tried everything, but I feel like Patience, and love,is what is most important. We have a great punishment system that I use. It works. but I wish I could just get inside his head sometimes and figure him out!!
